A mansion built by the likes of John Lennon, Prince Harry, Michael Jackson and Bill Gates is set to come under fire by its owners after an escape plan discovered in its home was used to plan an escape to safety.
The home, which has since been sold to a family, was built in 1972 and sits on the property of an estate agent who runs a property management company.
A security guard was sent to the home to check on its safety after it was reported to have been the target of an armed robbery.
The escape plan was spotted in the attic of the mansion, with plans for a series of steps, a staircase and a lift hidden in the roof.
The security guard found the escape plan in the floor plans for the mansion and contacted the estate agent to ask about it, a spokeswoman for the estate agency said.
The spokeswoman said the company had contacted police.
“It’s obviously concerning that someone has taken this to a level of danger,” the spokeswoman said.
“However, our security guard immediately contacted police, who are investigating.”
We are also looking at what can be done to prevent such a situation from happening again.
“The mansion, which was originally built in 1962, was sold to the estate company in 2016 for $13.7 million (7.4 million pounds).
The spokeswoman declined to give further details of the security guard’s involvement, but said the family had been informed.”
