A new edition of the RTE radio show, titled ‘RTE News: Airwaves’, will be launched on the iPlayer app and will be shown on RTE Radio 2, the broadcaster’s online channel.
The new edition will be a weekly radio show on RTO that will have a new format, the RTO news programme will be broadcasted in two parts every weekday morning and will feature a different host each week, the programme will also have a feature-packed interview with an RTE journalist.
The programme will air on the same channel as the RTV show and will also be streamed on the RTR channel, the channel where RTE and RTENews are currently airing.
The RTE news programme is being brought to iPlayer in a special edition format.
The channel will also introduce a new news segment in which it will be able to feature a special guest each week.
In a bid to diversify its content, the new edition is a weekly news programme on RTV, which will have different host every week.
The new programme will feature RTE, RTERadio 2, RTV Radio, RTR Radio and RTV News.
It will also feature a series of news segments on RTR and RTR News.RTENews will be available on the app for subscribers to watch in full on Sundays and Mondays.
The news programme was introduced on the first of April and was made available for free on a trial basis.
It will also launch in a subscription-based model, with RTVNews subscribers paying a monthly subscription fee of €5 per month.
