You may be able to get covered under the latest version of Verizon Wireless’ parental plan, but it will cost you.
The company says that, under certain circumstances, it can be covered under your parents plan if you’re: 1.
Married to someone who’s a Verizon Wireless customer, and 2.
Under age 18.
Verizon Wireless says it can’t do this with its parental plan.
You must be married or legally related to someone to qualify.
Verizon Wireless doesn’t give an age for people to qualify, but a couple that’s under the age of 19 and who are on a fixed or variable monthly income can qualify under certain situations.
Verseas plans don’t include any health benefits, and you must have a “substantial” savings of $1,500 or more each year to qualify for the coverage.
Verizon doesn’t say exactly how much of your savings you must keep, but there’s no way to tell.
You could also save more than $1.5 million to qualify under a Verizon’s parents plan.
Verions parents plan also offers no coverage for people who are already covered under other plans.
That means, for example, you might be able, under Verizon Family plans, to get coverage for a child that’s in foster care, but you won’t be able under Verizon Wireless plans.
Verizons parental plan is only available in select cities, and if you live outside the Verizon Wireless footprint, you can’t qualify for it.
But the carrier says that if you work outside of Verizon’s footprint, your parents’ plan can cover you.
You can’t get coverage in Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming.
You can check if your parents are covered by the plan, and your eligibility for coverage, by going to verizon.com/maternity-and-child-care-plan, clicking on “Find a plan,” and then checking the “Family” box.
If you have a Verizon family plan, your coverage may be different from the plan that you’re currently on.
You may also want to check your local health department or your state health department for details about parental plans.
Verizon’s parental plan isn’t available to those who are covered under their parents’ plans.
If your parents aren’t covered, they may not be able or willing to help you.
Verus parental plan doesn’t cover you if you have certain medical conditions or are pregnant.
Verzas parental plan also won’t cover pregnancy-related services for anyone who has an underlying medical condition, such as diabetes, heart disease, or high blood pressure.
Your plan is not applicable if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant.
Your parents must pay for your health insurance premiums, including out-of-pocket expenses for medications, surgery, and tests.
You may also be able get a discounted rate from your health insurer.
If this is your first time, it may be worth consulting with a provider before you buy insurance.
Verys parent plan also includes no out- of-pocket spending.
However, it doesn’t guarantee that you’ll get the same care from your provider that you would if you were covered under an older plan.
If someone in your family is uninsured or underinsured, your insurance may be more expensive.
If the coverage you have isn’t enough, you may be eligible for a subsidized health insurance plan.
